Easy Recipe For Chicken Curry Without Coconut Milk, Try this easy Chicken curry recipe that has great flavor but is a simple quick way to make weeknight or weekend dinners with little effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp Vegetable oil

  • 1 1 Onion diced

  • 1 1 Garlic clove crushed

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Gara Masala

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Ground Ginger

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp  Ground Corriander

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Ground Cumin

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp Tumeric

  • 1 1 Fresh Red Chilli Deseeded

  • 400 Grams 0.9 Ounces Chopped Tomatoes

  • 200 Grams 0.45 Ounces Small Mushrooms Halved

  • 350 Grams 12 Ounces Chicken Breast (Diced) Skinless and Boneless

  • 150 Mililiters 0.5 Cup Chicken Stock

  • 150 Grams 0.30 Ounces Half Fat Creme Fraiche

  • 1 Pinch 1 Pinch Salt

  • 1 Pinch 1 Pinch Fresh Ground Pepper

Directions

  • Add the chicken to the spices and mix them together.
  • Peel and finely slice the onion, and grate garlic and ginger.
  • Heat the Vegetable Oil in a Large Pan and fry the onion. Once softened add the garlic and ginger and fry for approximately 2-3 mins until softened and slightly browned.
  • Add the chicken to the pan mix well with the onions, cook for about a minute then add half the stock.
  • Cook for 2 minutes whilst stirring.
  • Mix in the rest of the stock and cook for a further 2 minutes whilst stirring.
  • Add the Tomatoes, fresh chili (if you are using them) mushrooms bring to a boil, and then simmer.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a further 25-30 mins. mins until you have a rich sauce.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the crème Fraiche.
  • Serve with rice.
  • You can leave the curry and then reheat it when ready.

Notes

  • The sauce will naturally thin as it cooks due to the water in the mushrooms. (these can be left out and if the sauce is too thick add a little more water or stock to thin the sauce.
  • You can alter all the spices to your taste. Add more or less fresh chili if you want and make it to your own taste.
